In 2011 Elaine, the founder of Insurance For Hosts, found herself in an interesting position. Like many, she was familiar with sites such as Airbnb and VRBO and how they were able to help others with a love of travel stretch their travel dollars further.  But unlike many other travelers, Elaine was in the Insurance industry and her mind automatically went from travel to ‘how does the insurance work if you’re a Host; how are losses covered, what happens if a Host is renting out their Primary Residence, what if there’s a fire? And so on and so on.  

Elaine knew she couldn’t possibly be the only Insurance Agent asking these same questions, but she was surprised to find that there weren’t many in her immediate area - or even across her state - that knew the answers or were even willing to find out the answers to these and dozens of other questions associated with insuring a Short Term Rental Property.  And so, throughout the years Elaine has committed to not only being able to answer the initial questions she had wondered all those years ago, but all the other ones that most Property Owners would never even think to ask. 

In keeping with her commitment to helping properly insure and protect her Clients, Elaine received her Certificate as a Certified Short Term Rental Property Inspector enabling her to offer more insight on possible claims issues and concerns. 

Insurance For Hosts is licensed in WA, OR, CA, TX, MI, IN, NV and FL with plans for expanding to more states in 2021.
